Adrian began his athletic career as a child in martial arts; he competed regionally and qualified multiple times for the AAU Junior Olympics. In high school, he played football, basketball, golf, and baseball. While attending college, Adrian played various levels of baseball for several years, eventually retiring to focus on academics. His interest in weight lifting began after playing baseball. Years after being taught the fundamentals of the deadlift and squat by a local power lifting legend, he applied the lessons to his personal fitness. While the focus of his exercises has changed many times, the dedication has not.
After sustaining a mild injury while lifting on his own, a chiropractor introduced Adrian to the concept of CrossFit. After months of hesitation, Adrian finally decided to give CrossFit a try in January of 2011. It only took a few short weeks of training before he was convinced that it was the best training program he had ever experienced. Adrian has began his coaching career interning at Northwest Strength and Performance and has become familiar with barbells and kettlebells alike. He has competed at CrossFit Regionals as a team member and multiple CrossFit and Kettlebell competitions as an individual. Being a firm believer in fundamentals, he hopes to help others apply them to their personal fitness.
